What you can expect in this position: Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor, performs assigned tasks and/or projects related to the area-specific internship. The Versiti Non-Profit Healthcare Operations Summer Internship provides an overview of various aspects of the Blood Operations Function. This internship will rotate through several key operational departments, allowing the opportunity to gain professional and diverse experience in healthcare administration, operations, and working for a non-profit. You will have exposure to, but not limited to Blood Operations, Donor Recruitment, Donor Contact, Supply Chain, and Hospital Services. Along with fellow intern cohorts, this internship provides the opportunity to participate in several projects that have a measurable impact on our business while being coached and mentored by Versiti Professionals in each area. The Versiti EHS Internship provides an overview to various aspects of the EHS functions. This internship will give exposure to process standardization, project management, record management, quality assurance, accident prevention/response, emergency preparedness, processes that reduce risk of harm to people and the environment, and cross-functional teamwork supporting Versiti's mission of enhancing and saving lives. You will work on project(s) that will have a measurable impact on our business while being coached and mentored by various EHS team members. This internship is designed to provide an opportunity to gain professional and diverse experience through a hands-on approach with a multi-state EHS department. This team offers long lasting career learning, which reaches into a broad spectrum of educational backgrounds and studies. What you can expect in this position: Under the direction of the CISO and Security Admin, performs assigned tasks and/or projects related to the area-specific internship. What you will do: The Internship program is intended to provide an immersive exposure to Information Technology's responsibilities to ensure excellent cybersecurity. This internship provides the opportunity to participate in not only technology initiatives, but also refinement of corporate policies, process, and cyber education. From a technology standpoint key activities may include, isolation of legacy systems, and implementation of a new security information and event management (SIEM) solution and service. This intern roles will attend cyber security team meetings, as well as participate in Versiti's Cyber Incident Response Team (CSIRT) activities and help plan cyber table top exercises. The Internship Program will also provide a basic insights into understanding cyber insurance and customer/vendor contractual requirements related to data protection and business continuity. Excellent cybersecurity ensures the right and ability to provide life-saving products and services here at Versiti. Under direct supervision by department leadership, performs phlebotomy collection of whole blood and apheresis products. Interacts with donors and coordinators, providing a high level of customer service to deliver an excellent donation experience. Takes pride in and is committed to delivering high quality services. Works cooperatively and is a supportive member of the team/group. Contributes positively to the achievement of team objectives. Responsible for driving the mobile drive vehicle and transporting the mobile staff in a safe and efficient manner.
