The Account Representative position is a highly competitive field sales role. Account Representatives develop successful strategies to source and qualify new accounts and work with existing accounts to execute productive blood drives to meet monthly territory blood collection needs. This position is critical to ensuring a stable public blood supply.

Under direction of the Manager of Transfusion Service, follows all applicable SOPs, performs immunohematology testing on patient samples and provides the correct blood product for transfusion based on these results. Performs component preparation as ordered by the provider to ensure the correct product is issued for transfusion. Provides the most appropriate blood in a timely and accurate manner and provides phone consultation to customers.

Drives environmental, occupational health, and safety programs to promote a safe working environment and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards. Effectively navigates claims, investigations, and implements proactive safety measures that reduce the risk of employee injury.

Under direct supervision by department leadership, performs phlebotomy collection of whole blood and apheresis products. Interacts with donors and coordinators, providing a high level of customer service to deliver an excellent donation experience. Takes pride in and is committed to delivering high quality services. Responsible for operating the mobile drive vehicle and transporting the mobile staff in a safe and efficient manner.
