Are you energized by solving complex problems, coordinating cross‑functional teams, and improving processes that truly matter?  Versiti is looking for a Blood Operations Project and Innovation Analyst to help drive operational excellence across our Blood Operations teams.

 

In this role, you’ll partner closely with leaders across the organization to bring clarity, structure, and momentum to high‑priority projects. You’ll help shape project objectives, streamline workflows, and ensure teams stay aligned and on track. If you enjoy organizing chaos, building relationships, and using LEAN and Continuous Improvement tools to make meaningful change, this is a place where your work will have real impact.

What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate the Blood Operations prioritization process, including project intake, scoring, timelines, and resource planning
  • Partner with leaders and project teams to define scope, objectives, tasks, and deliverables
  • Break complex initiatives into manageable workstreams and guide teams through execution
  • Identify risks, analyze data, and recommend solutions that keep projects moving
  • Facilitate decision‑making and remove barriers to progress
  • Build strong relationships across departments and help resolve issues collaboratively
  • Champion Continuous Improvement and LEAN principles to strengthen processes and outcomes
  • Communicate clearly and confidently with stakeholders at all levels

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science or related field (required)
  • Medical Technology or Clinical Lab Science degree (preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience leading or coordinating cross‑functional projects
  • Experience in a regulated industry and/or process improvement work (preferred)
  • Strong project management, problem‑solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to interpret SOPs, regulations, and technical documentation
  • Comfort working independently and guiding teams with minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence without authority
  • Familiarity with LEAN, CI, or GMP environments (preferred)

Compensation
The target salary for this position is $67,152 annually. 

The target salary is based on internal averages. Versiti sets salary ranges aligned to local markets in which the job is performed. Compensation decisions take into account internal salary averages and differentiation based on education, experience, skills, and performance. Specific salary and benefits information is shared at the time of the phone screening based on your location and qualifications.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates the Blood Ops prioritization process including resource allocation, prioritization, project intake scoring and project timelines.
  •  Collaborates with management, key stakeholders, project team members to drive project execution.
  • Organizes project activities into manageable work efforts and determines effective approach to complete work according to project plan.
  • Identifies project risks and mitigations, recommending best approach based on analysis and data.
  • Facilitates decision-making that is required for continued project progress and contingency of others.
  • Builds and maintains working relationships with all stakeholders including resolution of issues and conflicts with the project team.
  • Actively fosters and environment of continuous improvement.
  • Ability to articulate and defend new process approach to all levels of the organization.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
  • Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Complies with all standard operating policies and procedures

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors of Science degree in biological science or related field from an accredited college or university required
  • Medical Technology or Clinical Lab Science degree preferred

Experience

  • 1-3 years experience facilitating cross-functional projects required
  • 1-3 years experience working in a regulated industry preferred
  • 1-3 years experience developing and implementing processes in a regulated industry preferred
  • 1-3 years experience identifying and implementing operational workflow improvements preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as Standard Operating Procedures, operating and maintenance instructions, regulations and other reference documents required
  • Knowledge of current good manufacturing practices preferred
  • Ability to apply LEAN concepts to highly regulated processes required
  • Ability to think broadly with strong analytical skills preferred
  • Strong problem solving and technical skills with ability to apply judgement to standardized work procedures preferred
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and lead project teams preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills preferred
  • Strong project management skills related to assessment, problem solving, planning, organizing and implementation required

Licenses and Certifications

  • Lean Six Sigma-Black Belt (LSS) certifications preferred
  • Project Management certifications preferred

Tools and Technology

  • Personal Computer (desktop, laptop, tablet) required
  • General office equipment (computer, printer, fax, copy machine) required
  • Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required
