Under the direction of the Senior Manager of Community Education, the Community Health Liaison serves as a key connector between Versiti and the communities it serves, helping advance organizational goals related to health equity, blood and organ donation, and access to care. The position collaborates across internal divisions—including Organ and Tissue Donation, Blood Services, the Blood Research Institute, and Diagnostic Labs—to identify opportunities that address healthcare disparities, particularly among individuals living with sickle cell disease and other hematologic disorders. The Liaison independently develops and sustains partnerships that strengthen community awareness, education, and engagement.
