Position Summary

The Associate Marketing job plays a key role in executing local marketing tactics and strategy to support donor engagement and recruitment. This role focuses heavily on activating local initiatives, sourcing in-kind donations, and supporting promotions and events that strengthen local relationships. This role coordinates the distribution of marketing assets and assists with the rollout of regional campaigns and tools, which are aligned through the local marketing team in each designated state.

Responsibilities

  • Event Planning and Execution • Facilitate the planning, logistics, and on-site execution of promotional events to increase visibility, donor engagement, and community partnerships. • Collaborate with operational and regional marketing teams to support large-scale events and blood drives through targeted marketing efforts. • Evaluate effectiveness and continuously improve event outcomes.
  • Promotional Marketing • Manage annual promotional calendar for regional markets, ensuring all acquisition, planning and fulfillment needs are met. • Source and secure in-kind donations from local partners to enhance community events, drives, and promotional campaigns. • Aid in development of local promotional strategy for various campaigns
  • Localized Marketing and Communications Strategy Execution • Carry out local marketing tactics to support brand recognition, donor recruitment and engagement across state markets. • Design local marketing assets – including, but not limited to paid social media ads, promotional marketing content, and event flyers. • Develop localized social media content including, but not limited to stories, user-generated campaigns, etc. • Assist with the implementation of regional marketing campaigns and tools, adapting assets from centralized marketing for local relevance and impact.
  • Staging & Fulfillment • Stage all physical promotions out of state donor hubs for center distribution and mobile blood drives. • Maintain accurate inventory of all localized promotional items. • Complete the fulfillment process for e-gift card incentives, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to recipients. • Rectify donor issues in DonorCare related to egift cards (and potentially promotions) and use trending data to mitigate future complaints.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution • Collaborate cross-functionally with Donor Recruitment, Donor Services, and Volunteer Services to ensure smooth execution of all initiatives and programs. • Maintain close communication with assigned state local marketing team, centralized marketing, and state operational leaders to align all activities with organizational goals and local strategies.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
  • Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing or another relevant field required

Experience

  • 1-3 years experience in marketing, communications, or a related field required
  • 1-3 years experience working in nonprofit, healthcare, or mission-driven organizations preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders required
  • Demonstrated ability to work under tight deadlines required
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once required
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to detail and the ability to manage deadlines required
  • Critical thinking and proactive problem solving required
