As a Senior Specialist, you’ll be at the heart of our blood manufacturing process—transforming donated blood into life-saving products and ensuring every component meets our rigorous quality standards.
Follow all lab procedures and regulatory compliance standards
Manufacture blood components (RBCs and PLTs)
Perform quality control testing using hematology analyzers, pH meters, and WBC counters
Test platelets for bacterial contamination
Handle infectious disease testing tubes and process donor samples
Label, package, and prepare blood products for distribution
Maintain and calibrate lab equipment; perform daily QC and preventive maintenance
Conduct validation and proficiency testing
Assist with updates to procedures and support training efforts
Manage inventory of reagents and supplies
Support team communication and help monitor workflow
Work rotating weekends and holidays
Perform other related duties as assigned
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a science-related field (Biology, Chemistry, Medical Tech preferred).
Entry-level or lab experience welcome—great first job out of college!
Strong attention to detail and comfort with repetitive tasks.
Excellent time management and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Flexibility for rotating weekends and holidays.

Under the direction of the department leadership, executes quality control testing strategies on Versiti's blood supply to ensure regulatory requirements are met and manufactures platelet products according to operational standards. Enhances existing procedures and services with quality that exceeds customer expectations. Demonstrates the ability to take initiative, drive productivity, and build a collaborative environment.
