Position Summary

Under the direction of the Total Rewards Director, the Total Rewards Analyst ensures delivery and alignment of HR services to support business objectives. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining compensation and benefits programs, policies, and procedures to support the organization's talent management strategies. The analyst evaluates and analyzes compensation and benefits data, conducts job evaluations, determines pay grades, and participates in market surveys. Additionally, this position administers employee benefits plans, ensures compliance with organizational policies and relevant legislation, and provides guidance to leadership on compensation and benefits matters.

Responsibilities

Compensation Administration

* Assists with the maintenance of compensation programs, policies, and solutions to support the organization’s talent management strategies.

* Supports the administration of the Jobs Catalog, including conducting job analysis, evaluation, coding, and updating job descriptions.

* Researches, prepares, and analyzes salary surveys and market data to determine appropriate compensation practices and guidelines; leverages surveys and professional networks to understand industry trends and organization-specific issues.

* Participates in the maintenance of the organization's compensation structures, reviewing internal and external equity. Reviews compensation guidelines, reviews exceptions, and supports managers and leaders as they create and implement creative solutions to compensation challenges.

* Provides compensation recommendations to HR Business Partners and Talent Acquisition Specialists to ensure appropriate offers that maintain internal equity and external competitiveness.

* Supports management regarding pay practice decisions for promotions, transfers, and reclassifications.

* Participates in administering the annual merit increase cycle, including preparing HR reports and analyzing the salary structure and market trends. 

* Maintains updated policies, processes, guidelines, training materials, and communications to ensure efficient and cost-effective HR compensation services.

 

Benefits Administration

* Supports the administration of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.

* Assists in the communication and implementation of employee benefits programs and policies to ensure understanding and compliance.

* Conducts regular benefits benchmarking and participates in benefits surveys to ensure the competitiveness of benefit offerings.

* Provides guidance and support to employees regarding benefits enrollment, changes, and claims resolution.

* Participates in external vendors meetings to coordinate benefits plan design, renewals, and problem resolution.

* Supports annual open enrollment processes, including preparation of communication materials and conducting informational sessions and

 

Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification.

 

Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements.

 

Complies with all standard operating policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in human resources, business, or related field required

Experience

  • 1-3 years of progressive compensation and benefits experience in a complex work environment, including compensation plan administration, benefits plan administration, and resolving related issues required
  • Experience with compensation modeling, benefits administration, and metrics required
  • Experience working with an HRIS system, including data extraction and analysis required
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) required
  • Experience in a performance and market driven pay environment required; health care setting preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize data from various sources required
  • Demonstrated strong auditing skills and attention to detail in data management and reporting required
  • Understanding and ability to design and implement processes associated with compensation and benefits changes required
  • Excellent project management and business literacy skills, with strong sense of urgency. Results and action-oriented required
  • Ability to maintain highly confidential information professionally required
  • Ability to multitask and adjust in a fast paced environment required
  • Working knowledge of HR laws and practices impacting compensation and benefits required
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills; ability to communicate with confidence in order to write, interpret and explain information related to compensation, benefits, and HRIS in various settings required

Licenses and Certifications

  • CCP - Certified Compensation Professional preferred
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS)-IFEBP preferred

Tools and Technology

  • Personal computer, telephone, shredder, fax and copy machine required
