Position Summary

What you can expect in this position: Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor, performs assigned tasks and/or projects related to the area-specific internship. The Market Insights internship at Versiti provides an opportunity to research, analyze and develop insights related to donor marketing priorities. Projects related to this internship may include improving donor retention through research (primary and secondary), data reporting and automation, and marketing channel analysis. This internship provides the opportunity to learn the basics of project management, develop and implement data analyses which drive decision-making, and work together with a cross-functional team. This is a chance to gain exposure to many specialty areas in marketing and operations, while also leading fun and relevant projects that will directly impact blood donations.

 

When you will work?

This is a full-time, 40 hour per week internship, working Monday-Friday. The internship will begin on June 2nd. Our 10 - week summer internships are designed to provide hands-on, project-based experience in various areas of our business.

Responsibilities

  • Greets visitors and answers incoming phone calls to the department to ensure responsive and quality service.
  • Maintain, update and create department data files, physical and electronic
  • Maintain, update and create department processes, physical and electronic
  • Assist with new hire orientation preparation and follow-up
  • Assist with employee events preparation and follow-up
  • Accurately compile data and assist in preparation of periodic or special projects including reports, presentations and spreadsheets.
  • Participate in cross functional CapStone Intern Project with report out to Executive Leadership.
  • Maintains effective communication with internal and external stakeholder via email, phone and in person meetings.
  • Participate and contribute to department meetings, execute on goals and objectives to deliver outstanding results.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties in this job classification
  • Understands and performs in accordance with all applicable regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Complies with all standard operating policies and procedures

Qualifications

Education

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college/university program in a related field of the internship. required

Experience

  • Completed a minimum of 2 years in college/university in a related field of study for the internship preferred
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Effective communication skills preferred
  • Ability to be customer-focused and follow through on requests promptly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills preferred
  • Ability to quickly and accurately understand instructions and then work independently on assignments preferred
  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately preferred
  • Demonstrates keen attention to detail preferred
